The role | Mō tēnei tūranga mahi 
We are seeking a dynamic Clinical Team Coach to lead our innovative Enhanced Mobile Community Team, supporting Tangata Whai Ora living with mental health and addiction challenges to achieve their aspirational goals and live their best lives.
This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference by leading a passionate team of Community Support Workers and Peer Support Workers who provide responsive, trauma-informed, and person-centred support in the community.
As Team Coach, you will play an integral role in ensuring Pathways continues to deliver excellent, culturally meaningful services that support recovery, resilience, and wellbeing. You will foster a positive team culture where kaimahi feel empowered, supported, and inspired to thrive.
What You'll Be Doing 

• Providing leadership, guidance, and coaching to a multidisciplinary team of Community and Peer Support Workers.
• Supporting kaimahi through regular one-on-one coaching, reflective practice, professional development, and performance management.
• Leading recruitment, onboarding, workforce development, and succession planning activities.
• Ensuring the delivery of high-quality, trauma-informed, recovery-focused, and culturally responsive support.
• Building and maintaining meaningful partnerships across the health and social sector, including:

Te Whatu Ora
Primary Health Organisations
General Practices
Community and social service providers
Māori health providers and iwi partners

• Championing continuous quality improvement and service excellence.
• Acting as an exemplary Tangata Tiriti partner, promoting equity, cultural safety, and responsiveness in all aspects of service delivery.
• Supporting a culture that values lived experience, inclusion, innovation, and hope.

This is a permanent, full-time position. You will be working Monday – Friday, 8:30am – 5pm. Based in New Plymouth. You will also contribute to an on-call roster.

Skills and Experience | Ngā pūkenga me ngā wheako
If you also bring along the following, we are interested in hearing from you;

• HPCA regulated health practitioner, registered with a current APC (Registered Nurse or Occupational Therapist)
• Relevant work experience, including experience in mental health, AOD, disability, health care and/or social services
• Experienced leader who can support, manage and inspire a team.
• You’ll ideally have demonstrated the ability to work well with other services such as Health New Zealand/Te whatu ora, PHOs, and the wider youth community and social sector.
