Through our Whetū Marewa service, we support taiohi aged 12-24 across the Whanganui rohe who are experiencing challenges with mental health, addiction, or wellbeing. We work alongside young people, whānau, and communities to build resilience, strengthen connections, and develop practical skills that support long-term wellbeing.
Our approach is flexible, community-based, and focused on what matters most to each young person. We meet taiohi where they are and help create opportunities for them to shape their own futures.

The opportunity | Mō tēnei tūranga mahi
This is more than a leadership role.
As Team Coach - Clinician, you'll lead from alongside your team, maintaining a clinical caseload while providing leadership, coaching, and support to a small team of one clinician and two youth workers.
Because of the size of the team, you'll have a genuine opportunity to influence the direction of the service, champion innovation, and make a highly visible difference in the lives of taiohi and whānau throughout the Whanganui rohe.
You'll be empowered to strengthen clinical practice, foster a positive team culture, build meaningful partnerships, and help ensure the service continues to evolve to meet emerging community needs.
You'll also receive ongoing coaching and leadership support from the Service and Relationship Manager, creating a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to grow their confidence and capability as a leader.

This is a permanent, full-time position based in Whanganui, working Monday to Friday, 8.30am to 5.00pm. You will also participate in an on-call roster.
