This is a full-time role, working Monday to Friday, 8:30am-5:00pm based in Hamilton.

Mō tēnei tūranga mahi | About this role

We are looking for our next inspirational leader to join our Workwise team to support the Waikato service, covering a range of clinical sites across the region, based out of our beautiful whare in Hamilton East.  In this role you will lead a team who support people to find and keep employment.  You’ll work closely with community mental health teams, government agencies, community organisations and of course, employers.  You will be reporting to a general manager and be a part of a skilled team.  This role includes regional travel.

You will focus on

• Leading a motivated team to implement an evidence-based employment support approach (IPS)
• Providing effective and creative coaching and support the ongoing development of the team
• Building and maintaining relationships with employers, clinicians, communities and government agencies, ensuring sustainable employment connections to support people

With leadership experience in the mental health, disability, NGO or employment sectors, you will be passionate about creating work connections to support people in finding and living their dreams. You’ll believe hope matters, and everyone has skills, talents and potential. You’ll be positive, energetic, organised and a great communicator, influencer and connector.

You’ll have

• An appropriate level 4 or higher qualification in either health and wellbeing, rehabilitation, return to work or other relevant area - or be willing to undertake training
• Great team leadership and management skills
• Strong relationship, networking and advocacy skills
• Innovative and problem-solving thinking with a focus on ensuring quality
• A client-focussed approach
• A focus on responsiveness, relationships and results
• Excellent time management and organisational skills
• Strong computer skills
