Hitcontract is looking for a Lead Senior Software Engineer for an international client – a global technology and business consulting organization delivering digital solutions and large-scale software projects for clients worldwide.

We are looking for an experienced Lead Senior Software Engineer to join a team working across the full software development lifecycle. The role focuses on both front-end and back-end development, with JavaScript/TypeScript, Node.js, React, GraphQL, REST APIs, databases, and messaging systems at its core.
The successful candidate will also play a key role in technical leadership, contributing to architecture and development practices while collaborating closely with engineers, product managers, stakeholders, and other teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Participate in and lead Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives.
- Collaborate with team members and stakeholders to gather and understand requirements for new features and enhancements.
- Develop and maintain front-end web components using React, TypeScript, HTML, and CSS.
- Design and develop software solutions using Node.js, GraphQL, and JavaScript frameworks and middleware.
- Build and consume RESTful web services and APIs.
- Apply software architecture and design principles, including DDD, CQRS, and Clean Architecture.
- Write unit and integration tests to ensure code quality, reliability, and maintainability.
- Participate in code reviews and provide constructive technical feedback.
- Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve complex technical issues.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of software development processes, tools, and practices.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders and team members to ensure project objectives are achieved.
- Stay up to date with emerging technologies and industry trends and identify opportunities to improve development practices.
- Provide technical leadership and support to other team members.
Requirements
- 6+ years of professional experience with JavaScript, TypeScript, Node.js, React, HTML/CSS, and SQL.
- Strong experience in both front-end and back-end development.
- Proven team leadership experience, either in a technical leadership or managerial capacity.
- Strong understanding and practical experience with:
- Node.js
- React
- TypeScript / JavaScript
- SQL
- GraphQL
- REST APIs
- CI/CD pipelines
- Message brokers
- ORM
- Strong knowledge of Domain-Driven Design (DDD), CQRS, and Clean Architecture.
- Experience working in Agile development environments.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Good command of English.

- Knowledge of Vanilla JavaScript.
- Understanding of V8.
- Experience with WebAssembly.
- Experience working with complex enterprise applications and large-scale software systems.
- Experience mentoring and supporting other engineers.

Salary
€6,000–€7,300 gross per month, before taxes.
