Overview / Responsibilities
Wood is currently recruiting for a Project Engineer to support our Onshore Pipelines team based in Staines on a staff basis. This role will also offer flexible hybrid working.
The successful candidate should be able to perform the below duties and responsibilities;
- Support the Project Manager in the planning, management, delivery and reporting of all project activities including engineering, procurement, construction (as performed by sub-contractors), commissioning etc
- Support project management activities using a professional approach to ensure on time and on budget quality delivery of projects
- Support the establishment, implementation and maintainence of all project scheduling, cost and change management, project registers etc
- Work with the Project Services function to monitor, manage and forecast project costs and cost tracking activities to meet revenue goals for projects, to ensure that the work is completed within budget
- Support the generation of timely and consistent reporting
- Ensure processes are in place to manage change and ensure that change management is implemented in a timely manner
- Support the implementation of appropriate assurance activities throughout the project life cycle as directed by the Project Manager
- Ensure project startup actvities are appropriately implemented
- Work with the project engineering team (engineering managers and discipline engineers) to deliver the above
Skills / Qualifications
- Engineering degree qualified or chartered engineer status preferred
- Previous experience as a Project Engineer on a pipeline project preferred
- Experience in the design and construction of onshore pipeline projects
- Proven track record in FEED and detailed design experience
- Has worked on pipeline projects which includes pipeline facilities (compressor or pumping stations, pressure reduction, metering stations, tank farms etc.)
- Construction experience is an added advantage
