Subsea Maintenance Technician

Overview / Responsibilities

Wood is currently recruiting for an Subsea Maintenance Technician with an offshore background to support our team in EG.

Please note this position is only open to Equatorial Guinea nationals.

Opening to join the Subsea operations team as a subsea tooling technician primarily based at the Company’s Bome yard in Bata, but with trips offshore. Further responsibilities include:

• To provide hands-on repairs and maintenance to suite of subsea tools located in Bata (predominately OneSubsea equipment)
• Responsible for preserving, testing (hydrostatic and function), maintaining, and repairing subsea and ROV tooling (predominately hydraulic, but also electric). Equipment includes (but not limited to): Subsea Control Modules (SCMs), CVC Running Tool, SCM running tools, Subsea Flying Leads and Hydraulic Power Units.
• Required to join offshore vessels during installation campaigns to run tools under the supervision of Subsea engineers.

Skills / Qualifications

Desirable Qualifications:

• BOSIET / MEDICAL / MIST training
• Willingness to learn, with an attention to detail and a positive attitude are essential. Often required to work weekends or extended periods offshore
• Able to work off own initiative in completing assigned tasks with little supervision (once suitably trained)
• Proficient in English with good report writing skills
• Able to write and follow technical procedures and read schematics (electrical and hydraulic)

Job-Specific Skills:

• Offshore and hydraulics experience preferrable but not essential as training will be provided
• Familiarity with subsea Production equipment, hydrostatic testing, and Hydraulic Power Units

PC Application Skills:

• Good Microsoft word and excel skills
