    Job description

    Business Writer

    The Business Writer develops M&A marketing materials, primarily Confidential Information Memorandums (CIMs) and blind executive summaries (teasers).

    Key responsibilities include:

    • Writing, editing and proofing high-impact CIMs and teasers to interest potential buyers and move them to action
    • Interacting with time-sensitive business owners/entrepreneurs and C-level executives to obtain, discuss and clarify information
    • Proactively managing client expectations
    • Translating complex subjects or incomplete data into simple, clear communication
    • Collaborating professionally with other project team members to develop, refine and perfect client positioning and messaging

    This position requires:

    • Strong writing skills
    • Critical thinking
    • Attention to detail
    • Flexibility to handle new responsibilities and changing priorities
    • Ability to multi-task and accept challenges
    • Solid time- and project-management skills
    • Proficiency at Word, Excel and Power Point

    Candidates with the following are preferred:

    • Experience writing & editing copy
    • Business background
    • Marketing knowledge
