    Senior Associate Editor

    Woodbridge - A Mariner Company City of Cape Town, Western Cape, South Africa (Hybrid)

    Job Summary:

    The Editor is responsible for reviewing and refining written content on sellers’ companies to ensure accuracy and engaging content, as well as professional-standard formatting. In so doing delivering content that resonates with buyers and meets the highest standards of quality.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Review the output of a team of writers to ensure the team consistently produces:
    • High-quality, investor-ready materials
    • Narratives tailored to the client’s business type, issues, the seller’s goals, and key selling points valued by potential buyers
    • Writing that is clear and succinct
    • Compelling, engaging content
    • Coherent narrative between writers’ output and write-ups added by the financial analyst team
    • Set and uphold excellence in editorial standards and style guides
    • Train and mentor team members on best practices

    Required Education and Experience:

    • Relevant B-Degree – Journalism with one major in economics or a finance/investment related subject.
    • Minimum 5 years editor or journalism experience in a financial publication entity or investment environment with a strong focus on editorial excellence.

    Preferred Education and Experience:

    • M&A or equity research experience
    • Certificate in finance, investment or economics

    This job operates in a fast-paced, high-standard, professional office environment. This role routinely uses MS Office apps in addition to other systems.
