GENERAL PURPOSE OF JOB
To maintain a high quality standard of cleanliness and provide courteous service to the guest.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
• Ability to delegate tasks to large groups of employees effectively.
• Adequate knowledge of the Resort/Hospitality Industry.
• Assist in on-going training process.
• Ensure neat, clean appearance and enforce among employees
• Ability to interview, hire, evaluate training, and schedule.
• Hold Goals of Team above all individual goals.
• Coordinate, train, and supervise staff on a daily basis.
ESSENTIAL QUALITIES
• Experience in interviewing and scheduling.
• Excellent computer skills and proficient in Microsoft Word, Power Point and Excel.
• Ability to listen carefully in order to understand and respond to guest concerns.
• Ability to communicate information clearly and effectively to staff.
• Self-motivated, dedicated and loyal.
SCHEDULE REQUIREMENTS
Must be able to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, holidays, and long shifts. The weekly hours would consist of 45-55 hours.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This position requires the supervision of approximately 100+ housekeeping employees.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITES:
• High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Previous housekeeping experience preferred, but not required.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence.
• Ability to perform basic math skills.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, write simple correspondence and memos, present information and updates in one-on-one and/or small group situations with guests, homeowners, guests, or coworkers.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide numbers using units of money, weight measurement, volume and distance.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS

• Carry basket of cleaning supplies, vacuum, sheets, towels, blankets, duvets, bedspreads and miscellaneous equipment.
• Able to move housekeeping carts on wheels, small chairs, nightstands, dressers, rollaway, beds and cribs
• The following vision requirements are also helpful:
o Clear:
- Close vision at 20 inches or less
- Distance at 20 feet or more o Ability to identify and distinguish colors o Peripheral Vision: can observe an area seen vertical, horizontal and left/right with eyes fixed on one point o Depth perception: 3 dimensional, judging distances in spatial relationships o Adjust focus: bring an object into sharp focus
