The Hospitality Team Leader will be working as part of an exciting events team to deliver the food & beverage, event operations at a large selection of events spaces.
Job Type: 20 Hours Contract
Hourly Rate: £16.50 per hour
Responsibilities:
- To lead and support a team of Wait Staff during our events.
- To ensure the provision of food and service is consistent and in line with Searcys standards
- To meet and greet all customers and run through all info related to their meetings, such as timings, menus, dietary requirements
- To brief the waiting team on all aspects of the business and to oversee the running of the daily operations alongside management
- To assist on the development of the waiting team, making sure that they adhere to standards laid down by the management team and enforce these standards as required, especially on the areas of food and beverage service
- To ensure that all legislative and Government guidelines are adhered to, such as The Food Safety Act, Health and Safety at Work Act, the COSHH regulations, etc. within the areas of responsibility
- To deal effectively and courteously with customer complaints, and refer all complaints to the line manager, if necessary
- Ensure the standards of operation as set by the Managers are always maintained.
- Ensure correct uniform; by you and your team is worn at all times and personal appearance standards are adhered to.
- To meet clients on arrival, making sure that the event is as they require and ensuring that any changes on the day are dealt with professionally and passed onto the relevant department.
- To assist in the development of the waiting team, making sure that they adhere to standards laid down by the Management and provide training as required.
- Liaise with clients, supervisor and manager to ensure all catering services are running efficiently and effectively.
- Ensure you are briefed on all large meetings/events taking place on your working area.
- Ensure the punctual delivery of all catering services.
- Prompt clearing and re-set of the meeting rooms on clients’ departure.
- Ensure that all extra beverages are recorded on the consumption sheet and returned to the catering office for billing purpose.
- Ensure the cleaning rota is adhered to on the daily basis.
- Maintain excellent communication skills with the rest of the team.
- Any other reasonable request by management.

- Experience working as a Team Leader or a similar position with Hospitality/Events is preferred
