    Job description

    Security Officers are responsible for the safety of patrons, employees and the Wynn and Encore Property. In addition, Security Officers are responsible for ensuring all laws and policies are followed while being responsible for creating a positive guest experience by adhering to the Forbes five-star standards and the Wynn and Encore Core Values and Behaviors.

    Key Responsibilities

    Safety & Security Operations

    • Patrol casino floor, hotel areas, and property perimeter to identify potential risks, hazards, or suspicious activity.
    • Prevent theft, fraud, cheating, vandalism, and unauthorized entry.
    • Enforce all company policies, procedures, and gaming regulations.

    Incident Response & Emergency Handling

    • Respond promptly to emergencies including medical incidents, fires, disturbances, and criminal activity.
    • Administer first aid/CPR as trained.
    • De-escalate conflicts and manage disorderly conduct professionally.
    • Coordinate with law enforcement and emergency services when required.

    Asset Protection & Compliance

    • Escort cash, chips, and other valuables across the property.
    • Verify IDs and ensure compliance with age restrictions and gaming laws.
    • Protect company assets and assist in safeguarding gaming operations.

    Guest & Employee Service

    • Provide directions, assistance, and security escorts to guests and team members.
    • Maintain a visible, professional presence to deter misconduct.
    • Deliver exceptional guest service while enforcing security standards.

    Education & Experience

    • High school diploma or GED required.
    • Prior security, law enforcement, military, or hospitality experience preferred.
    • Previous casino or gaming environment experience is a plus.

    Licenses / Certifications

    • Ability to obtain and maintain required gaming license / work cards.

    • Ability to remain calm under pressure
    • Knowledge of safety protocols and gaming regulations
    • Team-oriented with the ability to multi-task in fast-paced environments

    Physical Requirements

    • Ability to stand, walk, or patrol for extended periods
    • Capable of responding quickly to emergencies
    • Ability to lift, carry, and move as required
    • Comfortable working in a high-noise, high-traffic casino environment

    Work Environment

    • Resort and casino setting with 24/7 operations (including nights, weekends, and holidays)
    • Interaction with guests in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
    • Exposure to indoor and outdoor areas
