The College of Nursing (CN) at Xavier University is seeking an experienced, innovative, and highly motivated candidate for a full-time, nontenure-track faculty position (Assistant Professor of Instruction) to teach in our undergraduate and graduate nursing programs. The CN programs include BSN, second-degree accelerated MSN (MIDAS), MSN Education, Forensics, FNP, PMHNP, AGPCNP, and DNP programs, as well as a variety of post-master’s certificates. The successful candidate will teach across undergraduate and graduate programs. Desired specialty areas include pediatrics and MSN core courses. Candidates with expertise in more than one specialty area are highly desirable. Candidates may teach in on-ground courses as well as in our online MSN and/or DNP graduate programs, depending on relevant academic preparation.
The successful candidate will actively participate in the development and evaluation of curriculum, course content, clinical experiences, test construction, and assessment of students’ learning; establish effective coordinating relationships with co-workers and clinical agencies; participate in nursing scholarly work and professional development; participate in student academic advising and guidance; and participate in appropriate program, college, and university activities and committees.
