Your New Role

• Work on-site as a Welder/Fitter in Fernley, Nevada

• Fit and weld structural steel components for utility and telecommunications projects

• Read and interpret blueprints, fabrication drawings, and engineering specifications

• Perform GMAW spray transfer welding and other required welding processes

• Use plasma cutting and oxy/fuel cutting equipment

• Lay out, fit, and fabricate fixtures and specialized steel components

• Inspect completed welds and fabricated components for quality and compliance with applicable AWS standards

• Use fabrication tools and equipment safely and accurately

• Assist with equipment maintenance and general shop operations

• Maintain an organized work area and follow established shop safety procedures

• Work on your feet for extended periods in an industrial fabrication environment

• Lift and handle materials weighing up to 50 pounds

• High school diploma or GED preferred

• At least 3 years of welding and steel fabrication experience in a manufacturing or production environment

• Proficiency in GMAW spray transfer welding

• Experience with FCAW welding applications

• Knowledge of structural steel layout, fitting, and fabrication techniques

• Familiarity with AWS D1.1 Visual Acceptance Criteria

• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, fabrication drawings, and engineering specifications

• Experience using layout tools and steel fabrication equipment

• Math skills for measurements, layout, and geometry

• Ability to communicate effectively and stay organized in a production environment

• Ability to work in shop conditions that may include heat, noise, and confined spaces

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and remain on your feet for extended periods

• Willingness to complete a written skills assessment and hands-on welding test
