The YMCA is seeking a passionate, energetic, and dedicated Youth Karate Instructor to join our team. This role is focused on introducing children to the fundamentals of karate while promoting confidence, discipline, respect, and personal growth in a safe, positive, and supportive environment.
Responsibilities will include planning and leading karate classes for youth participants, teaching foundational martial arts skills and techniques, demonstrating proper forms and movements, maintaining a safe and engaging class environment, and encouraging participants to develop their physical abilities, focus, and self-confidence. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of karate, hold a recognized black belt certification, have previous coaching or instructional experience, excellent communication skills, and a genuine passion for working with children.
The Youth Karate Instructor will contribute to the mission of the YMCA by modeling and teaching the core values of honesty, respect, responsibility, and caring.
