The Site Director is responsible for providing leadership, guidance, effective communication, and maintaining the overall well-being and safety of Y After School participants and support staff. They should possess high energy, and enthusiasm, genuinely enjoy working with children and be team-oriented. The Site Director is responsible for the planning, implantation, and facilitation of a structured and highly engaging summer camp. The Site Director must be positive, with a patient and respectful demeanor towards campers, parents, coworkers, and Y After School administration. All staff is expected to be interactive and engaging with the children throughout the day. This includes standing for long periods and participating in physical activities both indoors and outdoors.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
1. Complete administrative tasks.
2. Assist in the development of childcare programs.
3. Complete all reports, financial transactions, and assignments in a timely manner.
4. Supervise temporary or part-time employees.
5. Attend department staff meetings.
6. Ensure compliance and licensing regulations.
7. Work as a team with caregivers, school personnel and parents.
8. Assist with publicity and enrollment of children.
WORK ENVIRONMENT/PHYSICAL AND MENTAL DEMANDS
· Minimal exposure to the illnesses of school age children
QUALIFICATIONS
· 48 hours in Early Childhood Education, Child Development or other related field
· 2 years experience in a group child care setting
· Good oral and written communication skills
· Interact effectively with a diverse range of people
