    Qualifications

    Required

    • Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, or Psychology.
    • Active registration or licensure with the California Board of Behavioral Sciences (BBS).
    • Minimum of 1 year of post-graduate experience working with youth and families.
    • Familiarity with legal and ethical standards, including child abuse reporting laws.
    • 2–3 years of experience providing services in community-based settings.
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
    • Experience applying trauma-informed and culturally responsive approaches.
    • Ability to manage challenging situations with empathy and professionalism.
    • YMCA-approved CPR and First Aid certification

    Preferred

    • Experience implementing evidence-based practices for family counseling and support services.
    • Background in trauma-informed care and resilience-building interventions.
