Network Administrator

About the Role:

The Network Administrator will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining the organization's network infrastructure to ensure seamless connectivity and optimal performance across all hospitality and tourism operations. This role involves managing network security protocols to protect sensitive data and prevent unauthorized access, particularly in a dynamic environment with remote access requirements. The successful candidate will oversee the administration of Microsoft Exchange servers and other critical communication platforms to support efficient internal and external communications. They will also be tasked with troubleshooting network issues, configuring Cisco routers and firewalls, and ensuring high availability of network services. Ultimately, this position is vital to maintaining a robust and secure IT environment that supports the organization's operational goals and enhances guest and employee experiences in Ontario, ON.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Proven experience in network administration within a medium to large enterprise environment.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Exchange server administration.
• Hands-on experience with Cisco routers, Cisco ASA firewalls, and network security protocols.
• Familiarity with remote access technologies and VPN configuration.
• Experience in server administration and maintenance.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, or Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE).
• Experience working in the hospitality, tourism, or recreation industry.
• Knowledge of Blackberry device management and integration.
• Familiarity with advanced network security frameworks and compliance standards.
• Experience with cloud-based network services and hybrid environments.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and maintain network infrastructure including Cisco routers, Cisco ASA firewalls, and other network devices to ensure reliable connectivity.
• Administer Microsoft Exchange servers to support email and collaboration services across the organization.
• Implement and monitor network security measures to safeguard against cyber threats and unauthorized access.
• Provide remote access solutions and support for employees working offsite or at multiple locations.
• Perform regular network performance monitoring, troubleshooting, and optimization to minimize downtime.
• Maintain and update server administration tasks to ensure system integrity and availability.
• Collaborate with IT and operational teams to plan and execute network upgrades and expansions.
• Document network configurations, procedures, and incident reports to maintain compliance and facilitate knowledge sharing.
