    About the Role:

    The Restaurant Manager plays a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the restaurant within the accommodation and food services industry in Canada. This position is responsible for overseeing all aspects of restaurant management, including staff supervision, customer service excellence, and adherence to food safety standards. The manager will lead efforts to maintain high-quality food preparation and presentation while ensuring compliance with health regulations and safety protocols. They will also be instrumental in driving business growth through effective team leadership, inventory management, and fostering a positive dining experience for guests. Ultimately, the Restaurant Manager ensures operational success by balancing customer satisfaction, regulatory compliance, and financial performance.

    Minimum Qualifications:

    • Proven experience in restaurant management or a similar supervisory role within the food service industry.
    • Certification or formal training in Food Safety and Hygiene compliant with Canadian standards.
    • Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations applicable to the accommodation and food services sector in Canada.
    • Excellent communication and leadership skills to effectively manage staff and interact with customers.
    • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Post-secondary education in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
    • Experience with inventory management software and point-of-sale (POS) systems.
    • Additional certifications such as First Aid, Customer Service Excellence, or Leadership training.
    • Bilingual abilities, particularly in English and French, to better serve diverse clientele.
    • Demonstrated success in driving sales growth and improving operational efficiency.

    Responsibilities:

    • Supervise and coordinate daily restaurant operations to ensure efficient service and high customer satisfaction.
    • Implement and monitor strict food safety and hygiene standards in compliance with Canadian regulations.
    • Manage, train, and motivate restaurant staff to deliver exceptional service and maintain a positive work environment.
    • Oversee inventory control, ordering, and cost management to optimize profitability.
    • Handle customer inquiries, feedback, and resolve any issues promptly to maintain a positive reputation.

    Skills:

    The required skill of Food Safety is critical in daily operations to ensure all food handling, preparation, and storage meet stringent health standards, thereby protecting customers and the establishment’s reputation. Leadership and communication skills are essential for managing and motivating the team, resolving conflicts, and maintaining a collaborative work environment. Organizational skills are used to coordinate schedules, manage inventory, and oversee financial aspects such as budgeting and cost control. Customer service skills are applied continuously to enhance guest experiences and address any concerns promptly and professionally. Preferred skills like proficiency with POS systems and bilingual communication further enhance operational efficiency and customer engagement, contributing to the restaurant’s overall success.
