This position serves as a key link between site operations, field supervision, craft professionals, and Talent Development. The Craft Training Coordinator will facilitate craft, safety, leadership, and equipment training while supporting workforce development initiatives, ensuring consistent training standards, and promoting a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
Responsibilities
Essential Job Duties
- Facilitate and deliver craft, safety, equipment, leadership, and workforce development training programs.
- Support the development, enhancement, and implementation of craft training curriculum.
- Conduct classroom instruction, hands-on demonstrations, practical training exercises, and performance evaluations.
- Ensure training participants understand and adhere to all site safety requirements and procedures.
- Serve as a mentor and coach to trainees, apprentices, and developing craft professionals.
- Coordinate and facilitate onboarding, orientation, and qualification programs.
- Maintain accurate training records, certifications, qualifications, and compliance documentation.
- Audit training processes and documentation to ensure consistency and compliance.
- Identify skill gaps and training deficiencies and develop corrective action plans.
- Work closely with site leadership, foremen, and craft personnel to improve workforce capabilities.
- Coordinate training schedules, classroom resources, tools, equipment, and materials.
- Conduct field observations and provide feedback on workforce performance and training effectiveness.
- Support leadership development and frontline supervisor training initiatives.

Qualifications
Education
- NCCER Certification required.
- Verified journey-level industrial craft experience required.
- Associate degree from an accredited college or technical school preferred.
- Equivalent combinations of education and industrial experience may be considered.
Experience
- Minimum of 3-5 years of industrial craft experience.
- Experience may be accumulated across multiple crafts.
- Industrial maintenance or petrochemical experience preferred.
- Previous training, coaching, mentoring, or instructional experience preferred.
- Knowledge of industrial safety procedures and training requirements preferred.

Preferred Qualifications
- Bilingual (English/Spanish).
- Industrial maintenance experience in chemical, refinery, or petrochemical facilities.
- Experience with NCCER curriculum and workforce development programs.
- Previous experience facilitating adult learning programs.
- Knowledge of Learning Management Systems (LMS).
Physical Requirements
- Must be able to work safely in an industrial petrochemical environment.
- Must be able to wear all required personal protective equipment (PPE), including hard hat, safety glasses, gloves, hearing protection, respirator, steel-toe boots, and fall protection equipment when required.
- Frequent standing, walking, climbing, bending, stooping, kneeling, squatting, and reaching.
- Ability to climb ladders, stairs, scaffolds, and work from elevated locations.
- Ability to access confined or congested work areas when necessary.
- Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to work indoors and outdoors for extended periods.
- Ability to travel throughout the facility and training areas.
- Ability to demonstrate craft techniques and operate training equipment safely.
Work Environment
- Industrial chemical manufacturing and maintenance environment.
- Exposure to varying weather conditions including heat, cold, humidity, wind, and rain.
- Exposure to loud noise levels and operating equipment.
- May work near moving machinery, process units, pipe racks, and elevated structures.
- Must comply with all Chevron and Zachry safety rules, policies, and procedures.
- Occasional overtime, weekend, holiday, and off-shift work may be required.
