The Project Environmental Manager will be expected to ensure environmental compliance for the construction of a high-profile EPC project. This critical leadership position offers an exciting opportunity to shape the strategic direction and guide the execution of Zachry Group’s environmental practices. This position will lead and mentor appointed site environmental professionals while collaborating closely with site management, client personnel, regulatory entities, and a broad range of stakeholders to ensure that environmental compliance considerations are integrated into every phase of construction activity.

Salary/Pay Rate:
In accordance with Illinois Equal Pay Act, the expected salary range for this Illinois position, Project Environmental Manager, is between $80,496 and $113,380, annually. Actual pay will be adjusted based on experience, geographic location, and other job-related factors as permitted by law.
Benefits:
This position, Project Environmental Manager is eligible for participation in Zachry’s Total Employee Rewards Program, which includes medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability coverage, and other ancillary benefits. Paid Time Away:
The Senior Project Environmental Manager is also eligible for paid time-away benefits, including company-provided paid time off and holidays, in accordance with applicable company policies.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Employee will be required to adhere to large amounts of standing, walking, bending, squatting and lifting.
Will talk and hear to communicate.
Will use arms and hands to signal, grab, hold, turn, push, and pull: objects, materials, controls and tools.
May be required to lift, carry and move up to 50lbs.
Will work at heights, climb ladders and stairways, work off of platforms and man lifts, and may occasionally work out on an open structure using the appropriate fall protection requirements.
Will be required to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) including but not limited to: hard hat, safety glasses/goggles, ear plugs/muffs, masks/respirators, safety vests, gloves and leather work boots.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Will work in all weather conditions ranging from warm/hot – cool/cold. Occasional rain. Will work at different elevations. May be required to work in close, confined spaces for a long period of time. Noise levels will be moderate to high.
