Quality Receiving Inspector II

• Visually inspect material and equipment for damage and workmanship. 

• Compare part numbers, drawing numbers, specifications, and revisions on received equipment and material. 

• Issue relevant to Quality Records and, when necessary, write and send non-conformance reports to the QC Supervisor.

• Inspect raw/loose material, finished parts, and fittings to purchase order and documentation. 

• Verify requirements by reviewing material certifications per project requirements. 

• Identify nonconforming items and segregate them from accepted items. 

• Collect and record inspection results by part number and enter data on inspection forms, logs, or databases. 

• Check out conformity with Quality Control Plan, obtain relevant documentation, verify procedures and equipment to be used in tests, controls, and inspections, and manage documents for certifying tests, controls, and inspections.

Required Qualifications - Essential Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities:   

• Minimum of 3 years’ related experience within industrial construction 

• Working knowledge of equipment preservations  

• Ability to read and interpret OEM Manuals 

• Ability to read and interpret documents, blueprints, codes, and specifications.

• Generally familiar with Microsoft Office Package. Familiar with other computer packages (e.g. MS Project, Outlook, Bluebeam, etc.)     

• Personal characteristics of attention to detail and conviction to reject work that does not meet expectations and is not influenced by peer pressure

Preferred Qualifications Essential Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities:

• 5 years of related field work as a craft supervisor or above

• Relevant educational or certification requirements, such as a degree in engineering, NCCER certification(s) or a quality control certification(s)
