Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Senior Backend Developer to join our engineering team. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in Java development and enterprise application architecture, with a proven track record of delivering scalable, secure, and maintainable solutions.
Location
Zact is a global company with multiple locations across US, Europe and India.
We provide 100% Remote Working Option.
Candidates applying for this role should be located in one of the European or Indian Time zones.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain enterprise-grade Java applications using Spring Framework and related technologies
- Architect and implement RESTful APIs following industry best practices and security standards
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications
- Mentor junior developers and contribute to technical decision-making
- Participate in code reviews and ensure code quality standards are maintained
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues in production environments
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 10 years of Java and microservices development experience
- Strong expertise in Spring Framework ecosystem
- Deep understanding of RESTful API design principles and best practices
- Experience implementing various authentication and authorization models (OAuth 2.0, JWT, RBAC)
- Strong knowledge of relational databases and SQL
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with ESB implementations, particularly Apache Camel
- Experience with ETL frameworks and data integration patterns
- Knowledge of microservices architecture and distributed systems
- Familiarity with container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes)
- Experience with message brokers (Kafka, RabbitMQ)
