    Position Summary:
Zeeco is seeking a highly motivated and technically proficient Fire Tube Boiler Thermal Design Engineer with 4–5 years of relevant experience in boiler thermal design and performance engineering. The successful candidate will be responsible for thermal calculations, combustion analysis, heat transfer evaluation, efficiency optimization, and technical design development for fire tube boiler systems used in industrial and commercial applications.
The role requires strong analytical capabilities and hands-on experience in thermal design activities throughout the project lifecycle, from proposal development to project execution and commissioning support.

    Key Responsibilities:

      • Perform thermal design calculations for fire tube boilers, including heat and mass balance, furnace sizing, heat transfer analysis, and efficiency calculations.
      • Design and optimize key boiler components such as furnaces, combustion chambers, smoke tubes, reversal chambers, tube arrangements, and economizers.
      • Conduct combustion calculations for various fuels, including natural gas, LPG, diesel, furnace oil, and biomass fuels.
      • Prepare thermal design reports, engineering calculations, datasheets, technical specifications, and supporting documentation.
      • Evaluate boiler performance parameters, including evaporation rates, flue gas temperatures, excess air levels, pressure drops, and overall thermal efficiency.
      • Provide technical support to proposal and sales teams by developing equipment sizing calculations, performance guarantees, and technical solutions.
      • Collaborate with mechanical, process, manufacturing, and project engineering teams to ensure design feasibility, manufacturability, and compliance with project requirements.
      • Perform thermal simulations and CFD studies, where applicable, to validate and optimize equipment performance.
      • Ensure compliance with applicable industry standards and customer specifications, including ASME Boiler & Pressure Vessel Code, IBR, and other relevant regulations.
      • Investigate operational and performance-related issues in existing boiler installations and recommend effective engineering solutions.
      • Support commissioning, start-up, performance testing, and troubleshooting activities related to thermal performance.
      • Participate in design reviews, risk assessments, value engineering initiatives, and continuous improvement programs

    Required Qualifications:

      • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Thermal Engineering, Energy Engineering, or a related discipline.
      • 4–5 years of experience in thermal design and performance engineering of fire tube boilers.
