Are you ready to free the world? 📈The Opportunity: At Zen, we’ve created a growth experimentation process that was inspired by some of the fastest-growing startups ever, including Airbnb, Shopify, and more.

The process consists of creating experiments with a hypothesis that will help us achieve our goals across our funnel, including customer acquisition, activation, conversion, and retention. Pulling from our list of created experiments, we nominate and prioritize experiments based on their potential to help us reach our goals, the impact that they will have on our customers, and their ease of implementation. After prioritizing experiments, we move into execution mode to get the experiments pushed.

As Zen’s first growth engineer, you will share equal responsibility as our CEO and CTO for creating, nominating, prioritizing, and executing experiments alongside our design and marketing teams, with the goal of leading Zen to accomplish company goals, including getting Zen to a 3:1 customer lifetime value to customer acquisition cost ratio. Experiments in the past have included creating Zoom and Google Meet integrations, building payment portal A/B tests, and more.

As an early member of our growth team, you have the opportunity to set a standard of excellence as Zen scales. 🚀 Your Primary Focus: - Design, build, and test scalable software architecture - Create growth experiment ideas across the funnel that will help Zen accomplish goals - Nominate growth experiment ideas that will help Zen accomplish goals - Work with CEO and CTO to prioritize experiments - Work with CEO, CTO, and our design and marketing teams to execute experiments - Work with CEO, CTO, and marketing team to build a full funnel analytics pipeline 💻

Qualifications:

• - Belief in our values: https://www.notion.so/Zen-Company-Overview-742a7407121b498e855aed6c80bc2fe3 - Excited to work on greenfield projects, which includes working with the team to define requirements, talking to users & incorporating feedback, and taking the project from inception to production - 2+ years of software engineering experience - Deep familiarity with SwiftUI, UIKit, and Cocoa Framework - Any non-zero level of experience with Github and Xcode - _Nice-to-haves (not required, but a plus)_: experience with building mobile and / or desktop applications from scratch, familiarity with ReactJS, NodeJS, Electron, Google Cloud Functions, Google Firestore, and Amplitude Analytics - Zen believes in-person work is a key component in building a world-class culture and product.

• We also leverage Google Cloud Functions and Google Firestore.
• Our desktop application runs on Electron and is primarily written in ReactJS.
• The backend system supporting both applications is written in NodeJS, using the Express framework.
• Your primary focus will be our mobile app. - We use Notion, GitHub, Loom, Slack, and traditional tools like email and text for async communication and project management. - We use Figma for product design and Adobe creative cloud products for other creative assets. - We’re all ears to new technology that can help us move faster.
