Drupal Developer

<div>About the Role<br><br>We're looking for a Drupal Developer who owns the backend and CMS layer and can also work confidently on the frontend. You'll build and maintain scalable Drupal websites and platforms, and where needed, build modern React-based interfaces on top of Drupal, including decoupled and headless setups.<br><br>Key Responsibilities<br><br>Develop, customize, and maintain Drupal 9/10/11 sites and applications<br>Build custom modules, plugins, and integrations using Drupal APIs and hooks<br>Create and manage content types, views, taxonomies, paragraphs, and workflows<br>Develop and theme with Twig, and manage Drupal theming layers<br>Build reusable frontend components using React, and integrate them with Drupal via JSON:API, REST, or GraphQL<br>Support progressive or fully decoupled architectures where required<br>Integrate third-party services (payment, CRM, SSO, marketing tools, search)<br>Optimize performance, caching, security, and accessibility (WCAG)<br>Manage configuration, deployments, and version control using Git and CI/CD pipelines<br>Participate in code reviews, technical planning, and documentation<br>Troubleshoot production issues and handle upgrades and security patches<br><br>Required Skills (Primary)<br>Strong experience with Drupal 9/10+ development<br>Proficiency in PHP (OOP, Composer, Symfony components)<br>Hands-on experience with custom modules, Entity API, Form API, and Plugin API<br>Solid understanding of Drupal theming (Twig, preprocess functions, libraries)<br>Experience with Views, Paragraphs, Layout Builder, and Configuration Management<br>Working knowledge of MySQL/MariaDB<br>Familiarity with Drush, Composer, and Git<br>Understanding of Drupal caching, security best practices, and performance tuning<br><br>Secondary Skills (Frontend)<br><br>Working knowledge of React.js (hooks, state management, component-based architecture)<br>Strong HTML5, CSS3/SCSS, JavaScript (ES6+)<br>Experience consuming JSON:API / REST / GraphQL from Drupal<br>Familiarity with build tools such as Webpack, Vite, or npm/yarn<br>Responsive design, cross-browser compatibility, and accessibility basics<br>Exposure to Next.js or other headless frameworks is a plus<br><br>Good to Have<br>Experience with decoupled/headless Drupal architecture<br>Docker, Lando, or DDEV for local development<br>Hosting platforms such as Acquia, Pantheon, or Platform.sh<br>CI/CD tools (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins)<br>Testing experience (PHPUnit, Behat, Cypress, Jest)<br>Elasticsearch, Solr, or Search API experience<br>Multilingual and multisite implementations<br>Drupal contributions or community involvement<br><br>Soft Skills<br>Strong problem-solving and debugging ability<br>Clear communication with designers, PMs, and stakeholders<br>Ability to work independently and in agile teams<br>Attention to code quality, documentation, and maintainability</div>
