What you'll do
Zovea is a group of companies in animal health, and each label runs on a different commercial logic: veterinary medicine trading, direct-to-consumer retail, staffing. Most controller roles ask you to master one of those models and stay there. This one asks you to run finance across all three, which means broader exposure, more complex problems, and no two months that look the same. We're looking for a Group Financial Controller who wants that range.
- Responsible for finance and control processes across the labels, with a coordinating role during the monthly close including monthly balance review all in accordance with NL GAAP
- You lead the annual audit process and serve as the primary point of contact for external auditors for all our labels
- Involved across the board in finance processes, periodic reporting, and group reporting
- Delivering sharp analyses of revenue and cost development presented during the monthly business reviews
- Build a strong foundation for the budget and forecast process and the cash flow reporting
- Bridge the gap between the business and finance by connecting the two and giving stakeholders insight into that connection
- Drive process improvements, including exploring AI / automation possibilities
Who you are
- You have a bachelor's degree in a finance-related field and 5 -10 years of experience in a financial controller role, ideally in a fast-paced environment
- You have strong analytical skills and advanced Excel knowledge, experience with Exact Online and Basecone is a plus.
- You have a sharp eye for numbers, take ownership of your work, and stay detail-oriented and proactive
- Self-directed and self-starting; able to take responsibility, set priorities, and work independently
- Curious and decisive: you ask questions, are pragmatic and action-oriented
